Dear Pat and Family, I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Roland. I have many fond memories of the Ballroom Dance Lessons. Roland was always so friendly and helpful as were you. I know how close you were as a couple on and off the dance floor. I offer my deepest sympathy. God Bless. Paul
Condolence from:   Don Miner <thehermit@surry.net>
I am deeply saddened at the loss of Roland. We lost touch when I moved to North Carolina in 1985, but I never forgot him. He was one person who helped me the most when I was a struggling sign man. His advice and encouragement was invaluable. We suffered through break-ins at his garage, where my sign shop was located, together. We had many good times over coffee and cigars. His memory will live on for years to come. Don Miner

I'd like to offer my most heartfelt condolences to the Racine family. I remember my Uncle Roland as a man with a smile, a great laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor. I'm happy to say that I shared one moment alone with him. I couldn't of been more than 10 years old when I walke along his side down North Catherine Street in Plattsburgh. It was so hard to keep up with his long stride. I must of taken 3 steps for every one step of his, but he kept me smiling the whole time. Rest in peace Uncle Roland. I look forward to another walk with you again someday.
Mrs. Pat, Mrs. Ann, Mrs. Barb & Family

Sending you our deepest condolences. He will be greatly missed. Take care and stay strong.

Love,
Julie Burnah, Bethany Nichols, & Lacey Jiguere
When I think of Uncle Roland, I think of cheerfulness and goodwill. As I look back to my childhood visits to the Racine household, I remember good times playing with my cousins and enjoying the company of my Godparents, Uncle Roland and Aunt Pat. Uncle Roland's love for children has always been evident.
I remember as a child, one evening during the holiday season, we would get invited over. While there, Santa would show up in the living room. Every one of us would get a chance to visit with Santa and receive a gift from him. Uncle Roland is a very special man with a very large heart. God Bless him. With Love, Keith

Dear pepe,
I miss you so much. I love you so much and I just wish that you didn’t have to go so soon. I always dreamed that my children would grow up with you in there lives. You are my hero and you mean so much to me. It bothered me so much that my children wouldn’t know you, but then I thought about you and the family and realized that you are all around us, all I have to do is look at the family. Aunt Ann has your sense of saving and planning for the future, Uncle Jamie has your integrity, Mom Barbara has your sensitivity, Uncle Mike has your business mind, Aunt Julie has your listening skills, and they all have your wisdom, strength, determination, and of course your nose. All of these qualities have been passed down and will continue to be. You always had a helping hand and good advice. You were truthful and honest. Your family meant so much to you and they always came first. My favorite memory of us is dancing on your feet all around the studio, and with that I will always remember you as being a respectful, flirtatious, dancing man, who always had a smile on his face, love and compassion in his heart. I know that you are with us everyday because there is a part of you in all of us whether it be our looks or our personalities you are part of our make up. I love you and look forward to dancing with you again someday.
Condolence from:   Rance & Michel Bloom
Pat & family- We are so sorry to hear about Roland's passing. We will always remember his dancing feet and his happy smiles. It was an honor to have him during our instructional dance classes. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you- Rance & Michel Bloom
Condolence from:   James&Laura Miller
My feelings go to all the family members at the loss . Always have memories of the good times and let any other s that are not pleasant fall to the side not to be remembered.
Dear Pat and Family, As members of Pat and Roland's Spring, Summer and Fall 2008 Ballroom Dance Classes, we know that the past few months have been growing more challenging and that the past few weeks were very difficult. Roland put up a great fight, showing courage and optimism, strength and faith that is a model for us all. I watched my Mother, also a dancer, fight a similar battle, and at the same age. I wonder what magic discipline and spirited optimism are given as gifts to dancers that allow them to fight on with broken and battered bodies against this unseen enemy. I will feel honored that I had the opportunity to dance with Roland and benefit from his kind and considerate instruction. David and I will keep in our memories the image of Pat's arm gently laid on Roland's sleeve during a dance, her eyes stern with directions for Roland to follow (for the class's benefit), but her tone, while brooking no argument, voice full of love and the familiarity born of years of marriage. And Roland, dutifully doing as Pat wanted, but thinking naughty thoughts and winking at us!! He had a great sense of humor! May his memory be a blessing. Fondly, Ann and David Holland.
Dear Aunt Pat and Family. Juvenal and I express our condolences and prayers. Uncle Roland was a kind, caring and loving man. We have fond memories of him, like the welcome party he gave Juvenal and I when we returned from Peru, South America. I recall a conversation with him where he expressed how important family was to him and how he loved all of you. His spirit is with us, gently reminding us that life is for loving....We miss you, Uncle Roland

Condolence from:   Jack
Roland's passing is the loss of a true gentleman in this community. His smile, words of encouragement, hugs, and handshakes have brightened up many a day for people that he knew and didn't know. He always had a positive attitude and enjoyed helping out whenever he could. He loved his family and will be sadly missed. He was a good friend and father in law who taught me a lot about life. He would want to be remembered not sadly but by passing on his smiles, hugs and handshakes to people you meet and thinking of him when you have brightened someone's day.
Pat and Family: We are so sorry to hear that Roland past away. We were so lucky to have been able to know Roland if even for a short time, he certainly was a sweet and gentle man. Most of all we will miss his inviting and sincere smile.

Mel & Mike
I am so sorry for all of you, this is a tremendous loss . I have admired and loved Roland and Pat for years. I would not have known how to waltz for my wedding if it weren't for them. Please except my deepest regrets. Thoughts and love to you all. Bonnie Simpson
Dear Mrs Patt and Miss Anne I am very sorry about the loss of your husband and father he was a great guy. I remember when Olivia would go over to the house last year when Mrs Pat was teaching her how to do the polka and Mr Racine would come out. Everytime I saw him he was smiling what a kind and gentle man he was. Just remember he is now the guardian angel looking out for all his loved ones and no longer has to suffer and can rest in peace. My condolences to all of you. michelle hetfield

Roland was a very special person, he always had a smile and he gave the best hugs. Everytime I see Michael smile I will see his father smiling because they were so much alike. I will miss him stopping by to check on us at the Carwash and making sure we had everything we needed. I know he is up in heaven watching over us and perhaps teaching some ballroom dancing along the way. God bless to all the Racine family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Racine Family
Please accept our deepest sympathy for you at this sad time, but remember he is up in heaven now so he will always be there for you.

Our very deepest condolences on your loss.
Mike, I'm so sad for you since I know you had close contact with your father over the years. I'm thinking of my relationship with my pop now and I want it to be better. I remember your father going for a pilots licence and haveing that crash ..thinking how it can end at any time for any of us. A pilot to me is someone that knows there is a after life. Bless, Erik
